Psycho Killer Is A One Star Disaster

A movie can be dumb and still be fun. Psycho Killer on Hulu manages the rare trick of being dumb and exhausting, and we tried, we really tried, to meet it halfway. The Plot Summary And Immediate Problems

4.8 on uh IMTB, which you gotta try real hard to get below a six on IMTB. Um we have our uh main character, Georgina Campbell. Uh, you may know her from Barbarian, which is a very well-rated, you know, considered a very good horror movie. Uh she uh is a state trooper who is married to another state trooper uh who, as far as I know, he doesn't even have a name. Uh they may have said his name. Who knows, though. But he stops he stops a car on the uh on the highway, uh, as we hear in you know uh news on the radio about uh about a killer on the loose, and um and she uh and she is suspicious while he's very nonchalant about it, and uh he doesn't follow the correct order of operations and checking the license plate, and so he dies, and she sees it happen, and she's traumatized, but instead of instead of go instead of actually using the benefits of therapy, she decides to hunt down this killer. And throughout this uh killer's spree, we see snippets of um of this killer doing things like getting psychotropic drugs and writing satanic stuff on the walls in blood and murdering uh you know couples and single people and the the killer eventually makes it the killer eventually makes it to a group of other Satanists and then kills all them except for one dork. And and uh and Georgina, oh bless you, and Georgina Campbell suddenly becomes a sniper, and uh and the FBI's like, you gotta stop interfering with our case.

Yeah, they thought that was clever, and like I have no fucking idea. It was really it was stupid how often his face was like in shadow or whatever. It's like, no, that's just don't just make it so you don't see his face. Just never shoot his face.

Like, I I anyway, we're not to the end of the movie. So that that that guy decides he's gonna blow up the entire East Coast with Three Mile Island. He's gonna set off dynamite inside the control room at Three Mile Island, and it's gonna and I don't know. It's it just shows a profound misunderstanding of like everything. And yeah. And uh our hero shoots him but doesn't kill him, and we and the the the credits, the before credits teaser. Turns out that uh we'd hear we'd heard a conspiracy theorist on the radio the whole time talking about how the government was creating monstrous people in in secret labs and then unleashing them on the population, and it turns out that that was true. And uh and that's how the movie ends.

It wasn't good. She did not do good. No one did good in this movie. Not a single soul did good in this movie.

You're fucking crazy. Uh let's do this, this, this. Like, you're out of your fucking mind, you're dumb. And uh, why don't you also?
